Indication:
- The drug contains the hormone progesterone, which is identical to the body’s own hormone of the corpus luteum.
- The medicine is used to protect the uterine lining from overgrowth in women taking estrogen treatment for symptoms during and after menopause or after surgical removal of the ovaries.
- The medicine cannot be used for contraception.
Dosage:
- Always take your medicine exactly as your doctor told you. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
- If you have had your uterus surgically removed, the use of progestins as part of hormone replacement therapy is not recommended unless you have previously been diagnosed with endometriosis (a growth of the lining of the uterus outside the uterus).
- The recommended dose is
- As a rule, take 2–3 soft capsules (200–300 mg of progesterone) daily.
- Duration of use
- The duration of treatment with the drug depends on the duration of estrogen treatment. Hormone replacement therapy should be carried out for the shortest possible period of time.
