This medicine contains testosterone, a male hormone that is produced naturally in the body.
The drug is used for testosterone replacement therapy in adult men with various diseases caused by testosterone deficiency (male hypogonadism). This testosterone deficiency must be confirmed by two independent determinations of testosterone concentration in the blood. In addition, certain clinical signs must be present, including:
Sexual function disorders (impotence)
Sterility (infertility)
Decreased sex drive
fatigue
depressive moods
Bone loss due to low hormone concentrations
The medicine should not be used:
if you have prostate cancer or are suspected of having prostate cancer
if you have breast cancer or are suspected of having breast cancer
if you are allergic to testosterone or any other ingredient of this medicine
