Binabik 50 mg contains the drug bicalutamide. It belongs to a group of drugs called
antiandrogens.
Binabik 50 mg is used to treat prostate cancer.
It works by blocking the action of male hormones such as testosterone. You should see your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse. What should you pay attention to before you start taking Binabik 50 mg?
Do not take Binabik 50 mg if:
you are allergic (hypersensitivity) to bicalutamide or any other component of Binabik 50 mg.
(mentioned in paragraph 6).
you are already taking a medicine called cisapride (for stomach problems) or certain antihistamines (medicines used for hay fever or other allergies) such as terfenadine or astemizole.
You are a woman
If any of the above apply to you, do not take Binabik 50 mg. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist before taking Binabik 50 mg.
Binabik 50 mg should not be given to children.
Warnings and Precautions
Before using Binabik 50 mg, consult your doctor if:
you have liver problems
you have diabetes mellitus (diabetes mellitus) and are already taking medications called “LHRH analogues” such as goserelin, buserelin, leuprorelin and triptorelin.
Tell your doctor if you have any of the following conditions:
Any diseases of the heart or blood vessels, including heart rhythm disorders (arrhythmias), or treatment of these diseases. When taking Binabik, the risk of heart rhythm disturbances may increase.
If you go to the hospital, tell the hospital staff that you are taking Binabic 50 mg.
