Compound:
DERMESTRIL-Septem patches contain the estrogenic hormone 17-ß-estradiol. The patches are attached to the skin after the protective film is removed, and the hormone continuously diffuses through the skin into the body. DERMESTRIL-Sentem 25 mcg/24 hours contains 2.5 mg estradiol (as hemihydrate) and releases approximately 25 mcg of estradiol per day (over 24 hours). Other components are adhesives (acrylic copolymers), carrier film (polyethylene terephthalate) and protective film (siliconized polyethylene terephthalate) which is removed before use. DERMESTRIL-Septem patches are intended for external use only.
