Areas of use:
– clinically manifest (recognizable) chronic and acute poisoning with mercury (inorganic and organic compounds, vapors, metallic mercury),
– chronic lead poisoning.
Compound:
Active ingredient: (RS)-2,3-bis(sulfanyl)propane-1-sulfonic acid, sodium salt 1H2O.
1 hard capsule contains 108.56 mg of (RS)-2,3-bis(sulfanyl)propane-1-sulfonic acid, sodium salt 1H2O; equivalent to 100 mg sodium DMPS; Excipients: copovidone, gelatin, corn starch, sodium dodecyl sulfate, titanium dioxide, water for injection.
Application:
Always take Dimaval (DMPS) 100 mg Hard Capsules exactly as prescribed by your doctor. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
The dosage usually depends on the type and severity of poisoning.
Unless otherwise stated, adults receive
in case of acute poisoning:
the initial daily dose is 12 to 24 Dimaval hard capsules (DMPS) 100 mg hard capsules in single doses evenly distributed throughout the day (eg, 12 times 1 to 2 hard capsules per day).
for chronic poisoning:
3 to 4 Dimaval 100 mg hard capsules (DMPS) per day. In case of severe chronic poisoning, the daily dose can be increased. The daily dose should be taken in single doses of 1-2 hard capsules, evenly distributed throughout the day.
Mode of application.
Take hard capsules with liquid at least 1 hour before meals.
If you take more Dimavala 100 mg Hard Capsules (DMPS) than you should.
Overdose has not been reported with oral administration of DMPS. Cardiovascular reactions such as a drop in blood pressure, weakness, or nausea may occur when DMPS is administered. DMPS can be removed by dialysis.
