The drug is used for hormone replacement therapy (HRT). It contains two different female sex hormones: estrogen (estradiol) and progestin (dydrogesterone). It is used in postmenopausal women whose last menstrual period (menopause) was at least 12 months ago.
The medicine is used for
Relief of postmenopausal symptoms
During menopause, a woman’s production of her own estrogen decreases. This can cause symptoms such as hot flashes in the face, neck, and chest (called hot flashes). The drug relieves these symptoms that occur after menopause. You will only be prescribed medication if your symptoms significantly affect your daily life.
The medicine cannot be taken
if the following points apply to you. If you are unsure whether this is the case, consult your doctor before taking the product.
You should not take the medicine if:
You have a hypersensitivity (allergy) to estradiol, dydrogesterone, or any other ingredient of this medicine.
You have, have had, or are suspected of having breast cancer.
You have a form of cancer that depends on estrogen to grow, for example. B. Cancer of the uterine mucosa (endometrium) or there is appropriate suspicion.
Bleeding from the vagina occurs, the cause of which is not clear.
Untreated excessive thickening of the lining of the uterus (endometrial hyperplasia).
You have or have previously had a blood clot in a vein (thrombosis), for example. B. in the legs (deep vein thrombosis) or in the lungs (pulmonary embolism)
You have a bleeding disorder (such as protein C deficiency, protein S deficiency, or antithrombin deficiency)
You have or have ever had a condition caused by blood clots in your arteries, such as: B. Heart attack, stroke, or attacks of chest pain with a feeling of tightness in the chest (angina)
You have or have ever had liver disease and your liver function tests have not yet returned to normal.
You have a rare inherited blood disorder called porphyria.
You have a hypersensitivity (allergy) to estradiol, dydrogesterone, or any other ingredient of this medicine.
If any of the above diseases occur for the first time while taking the drug, immediately stop treatment and consult a doctor immediately.
Always take this medication exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Start of reception
Start taking it only if at least 12 months have passed since your last natural menstrual period.
You can start taking it at any time
You are not currently taking hormone replacement therapy.
You are switching from continuous combined hormone replacement therapy.
This is the case if you take/use a pill or patch with two active ingredients, estrogen and progestin, every day.
You will start taking it after completing your 28 day cycle if
You are switching from a cyclic or sequential product to this product. This is the case if you take an estrogen-only pill or patch in the first half of your cycle. Then take a pill or patch with two active ingredients, estrogen and progestin, for the next 14 days.
dosage
Your doctor will try to give you the minimum dose needed to treat your symptoms for the shortest time possible. Please talk to your doctor if you feel that the effect of the medicine is too strong or too weak.
Take one yellow tablet daily for 28 days.
If you are scheduled for surgery
If you are scheduled for surgery, tell the doctor performing the surgery that you are taking this drug. You may need to stop taking the medicine 4 to 6 weeks before your scheduled surgery to reduce the risk of blood clots. Ask your doctor when you can continue taking it.
If you took more than you should
If you (or someone else) takes too many pills, it is unlikely to cause serious problems. You may feel sick (nausea) or sick (vomiting), and you may also experience chest pain/tenderness, dizziness, stomach cramps, drowsiness, fatigue, or withdrawal bleeding. No specific treatment is required. However, if you are concerned, please consult your doctor.
If you forget to take it
Take the missed film-coated tablet as soon as possible. However, if more than 12 hours have passed since your usual dose, continue with the next dose without taking the missed film-coated tablet. Do not take a double dose. If you forget to take a dose, you may experience bleeding or spotting.
If you stop taking it
You should not stop treatment without consulting your doctor.
