Groprinosin Forte is a drug whose active ingredient is inosine pranobex. The drug is intended for maintenance use in people over 1 year of age with reduced immunity, for recurrent upper respiratory tract infections and for the treatment of herpes of the lips and facial skin.
Compound
The active ingredient of the drug is inosine pranobexum (Inosinum pranobexum).
One sachet contains 1000 mg of inosine pranobexum (Inosinum pranobexum): a complex containing inosine and 2-hydroxypropyldimethylammonium 4-acetamidobenzoate in a molar ratio of 1:3.
Excipients: povidone K-30, isomalt (E953), sucralose (E955), lemon flavor (maltodextrin, sucrose, modified starch (E1450), ascorbic acid (E300), natural flavors).
Dosage

The medicine should be taken orally.
The dose is determined based on the patient’s body weight and depends on the severity of the disease. The daily dose should be divided into equal single doses taken several times a day.
Adults, including elderly people (over 65 years of age): the recommended daily dose is 50 mg/kg body weight per day (usually 1 g at a time, i.e. 1 sachet 3-4 times a day). Do not take more than 4 sachets per day.
Children over 1 year of age: The usual recommended dose is 50 mg/kg body weight per day, divided into several doses.
Directions for use: Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 1/2 glass of warm water, stir and drink.
Duration of treatment: The duration of treatment is usually from 5 to 14 days. After the symptoms disappear, the drug should be used for another 1 to 2 days.
Action
Groprinosin Forte contains inosine pranobex, which has an immunostimulating and antiviral effect.
Indications
Groprinosin Forte is indicated for maintenance use in persons with reduced immunity, for recurrent upper respiratory tract infections and for the treatment of herpes of the lips and facial skin caused by the herpes simplex virus (Herpes simplex), in persons who have been diagnosed with this virus in the past.
Contraindications
The drug should not be used if you are hypersensitive to the active substance or any of the ingredients of the drug, or if the patient is currently experiencing an attack of gout or has elevated uric acid levels in the blood.
