Pharmacological properties
Sildenafil is intended for oral treatment of erectile dysfunction. Under natural conditions, i.e. in the presence of sexual stimulation, it restores impaired erectile function by increasing blood flow to the penis. The physiological mechanism underlying penile erection involves the release of nitric oxide (NO) in the corpus cavernosum upon sexual stimulation. The resulting nitric oxide activates the enzyme guanylate cyclase, which leads to an increase in the level of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP), which causes smooth muscle relaxation in the cavernous body and an increase in blood flow.
Indications for use
Potenzagra capsules are indicated for adult males with erectile dysfunction, characterized by an inability to achieve or maintain an erection level necessary for satisfactory intercourse.
For the effective action of the drug, sexual stimulation is necessary.
Method of application and dosing regimen
Use in Adult Patients
The recommended dose, taken as needed approximately 1 hour before sexual activity, is 50 mg. Depending on the effectiveness and tolerability of the drug, the dose may be increased to 100 mg or reduced to 25 mg. The maximum recommended dose is 100 mg. The maximum recommended frequency of use is 1 time per day. The time of manifestation of the activity of the drug may increase when taken with food compared to taking on an empty stomach.
Special categories of patients
The elderly
In elderly patients (≥65 years), dose adjustment is not required.
Patients with impaired renal function
The dosage recommendations given in the section “Use in adults” apply to patients with mild to moderate renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance = 30-80 ml / min).
Since in patients with severe renal insufficiency (creatinine clearance <30 ml / min) the clearance of sildenafil is reduced, the use of the drug at a dose of 25 mg should be considered. Based on the effectiveness and tolerability, the dose of the drug, if necessary, can be gradually increased to 50 mg and up to 100 mg.
Patients with impaired liver function
Since in patients with impaired liver function (for example, with cirrhosis), the clearance of sildenafil is reduced, the use of the drug at a dose of 25 mg should be considered. Based on the effectiveness and tolerability, the dose of the drug, if necessary, can be gradually increased to 50 mg and up to 100 mg.

Sildenafil ist zur oralen Behandlung der erektilen Dysfunktion bestimmt. Unter naturlichen Bedingungen, d.h. Bei sexueller Stimulation stellt es die beeintrachtigte erektile Funktion wieder her, indem es den Blutfluss zum Penis erhoht. Potenzagra-Kapseln sind angezeigt fur erwachsene Manner mit erektiler Dysfunktion, die durch die Unfahigkeit gekennzeichnet ist, eine Erektion zu erreichen oder aufrechtzuerhalten, die fur einen zufriedenstellenden Geschlechtsverkehr erforderlich ist.
Fur die wirksame Wirkung des Arzneimittels ist eine sexuelle Stimulation erforderlich.
Art der Anwendung und Dosierungsschema
Anwendung bei erwachsenen Patienten
Die empfohlene Dosis, die nach Bedarf etwa 1 Stunde vor dem Geschlechtsverkehr eingenommen wird, betragt 50 mg. Je nach Wirksamkeit und Vertraglichkeit des Arzneimittels kann die Dosis auf 100 mg erhoht oder auf 25 mg reduziert werden. Die empfohlene Hochstdosis betragt 100 mg. Die maximal empfohlene Anwendungshaufigkeit betragt 1 Mal pro Tag. Die Zeit der Manifestation der Aktivitat des Arzneimittels kann sich bei Einnahme mit Nahrung im Vergleich zur Einnahme auf nuchternen Magen verlangern.
Besondere Kategorien von Patienten
Die Alteren
Bei alteren Patienten (?65 Jahre) ist keine Dosisanpassung erforderlich.
Patienten mit eingeschrankter Nierenfunktion
Die Dosierungsempfehlungen im Abschnitt „Anwendung bei Erwachsenen“ gelten fur Patienten mit leichter bis mittelschwerer Niereninsuffizienz (Kreatinin-Clearance = 30-80 ml/min).
Da bei Patienten mit schwerer Niereninsuffizienz (Kreatinin-Clearance < 30 ml/min) die Clearance von Sildenafil reduziert ist, sollte die Anwendung des Arzneimittels in einer Dosis von 25 mg in Betracht gezogen werden. Basierend auf der Wirksamkeit und Vertraglichkeit kann die Dosis des Arzneimittels bei Bedarf schrittweise auf 50 mg und bis zu 100 mg erhoht werden.
Patienten mit eingeschrankter Leberfunktion
Da bei Patienten mit eingeschrankter Leberfunktion (z. B. bei Zirrhose) die Clearance von Sildenafil verringert ist, sollte die Anwendung des Arzneimittels in einer Dosis von 25 mg in Betracht gezogen werden. Basierend auf der Wirksamkeit und Vertraglichkeit kann die Dosis des Arzneimittels bei Bedarf schrittweise auf 50 mg und bis zu 100 mg erhoht werden.
