indication
The medicine contains the active substance tadalafil and belongs to a group of medicines called “phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors”.
It is used to treat adult men with:

The medicine should not be taken if you:
you are allergic to tadalafil or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
take any form of organic nitrates or nitric oxide donors such as amyl nitrite. This is a group of drugs (“nitrates”) used to treat angina pectoris (a type of “pain in the heart”). The drug has been shown to enhance the effects of these drugs. If you are taking any form of nitrates or are unsure, talk to your doctor.
have a serious heart condition or have had a heart attack within the last 90 days.
had a stroke in the last 6 months.
suffer from low or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
have ever had vision loss due to non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (NAION), this condition is described as an “ocular stroke”.
take riociguat. This medicine is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (i.e. high blood pressure in the lungs) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (i.e. high blood pressure in the lungs secondary to blood clots). PDE5 inhibitors, like the drug, have been shown to enhance the blood pressure lowering effect of this drug. If you are taking riociguat or are unsure, talk to your doctor.

For the treatment of erectile dysfunction
The recommended dose is one 5mg tablet per day and should be taken at about the same time each day. Depending on how well you tolerate the medicine, your doctor may adjust your dose to 2.5 mg. In this case, 2.5 mg tablets may be prescribed.
Do not take the medicine more than once a day.
When taken daily, the medicine allows you to get an erection after sexual stimulation at any time within 24 hours a day.
