Indication:
- The medicine is used to treat men with prostate enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia). This is a benign enlargement of the prostate caused by an excess of the hormone dihydrotestosterone.
- Active ingredient – dutasteride It belongs to a group of drugs called 5-alpha reductase inhibitors.
- When the prostate becomes enlarged, it can cause problems with the flow of urine, such as: B. repeated urge to urinate and frequent urination. An intermittent and weak urine stream may also occur. If left untreated, the risk of complete blockage of urine flow (acute urinary retention) increases. This requires immediate medical treatment.
