Indication:
- The medicine contains two active ingredients: ramipril and amlodipine. Ramipril belongs to a class of drugs known as ACE inhibitors (angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors), and amlodipine belongs to a class of drugs known as calcium antagonists.
- Ramipril works
- The body’s production of substances that cause increased blood pressure is reduced.
- Your blood vessels relax and expand further.
- it is easier for the heart to pump blood throughout the body.
- Amlodipine works
- Your blood vessels relax and dilate so that blood can flow through them more easily.
- The medication may be used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in patients whose blood pressure is adequately controlled by taking the individual drugs together as separate tablets at the same dosage as the combination. li>
Dosage:
- Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
- The medicine should be taken once a day.
- Elderly patients
- Your doctor will reduce the initial dose and gradually adjust your treatment.
- If you took more than you should
- If you take too many capsules, your blood pressure may drop or become dangerously low. You may feel dizzy, light-headed, weak, or powerless. If the drop in blood pressure is severe enough, shock may occur. Your skin may become cold and clammy, and you may lose consciousness. Call your doctor or go to your nearest hospital emergency room immediately. You are not allowed to drive to the hospital on your own. Get someone else to do it or call an ambulance. Take the medicine package with you so that the doctor knows what you have taken.
